The Event
This year’s Versailles Gala will be an opulent evening of courtly pleasures, where guests can indulge and be treated like royalty.
While our guests make their way through the Grand Foyer of The Ritz-Carlton, they will encounter artist Patrice Stephens-Bourgeault who will create a work of art inspired by our guests, the Ritz and the inspiration for the gala, Versailles. Patrice’s artwork will be available for purchase that night.
Canadian fashion icon Jeanne Beker will act as the fabulously fashionable emcee throughout the night, guiding the most discerning arts patrons in Toronto through performances, dinner and a vibrant live auction. The Queen of the Night herself, dramatic coloratura soprano Ambur Braid, will perform alongside baritone Vasil Garvanliev, most recently seen with Opera Atelier as Kaspar in Der Freischütz (The Marksman). Both the Artists of Atelier Ballet and students from the School of Atelier Ballet will join us in this celebration and Co-Artistic Director Marshall Pynkoski is sure to delight with tales of touring abroad. Seamus O’Reagan, Lloyd Robertson, Amanda Lang and Jeanne Beker will be in attendance.
After a delightful dinner, live auction and performances, Opera Atelier Co-Artistic Directors Marshall & Jeannette will lead our guests in a dance, while artists encourage patrons to join them onstage for the remainder of the evening.
Each couple attending the gala will take home a gift from Luxury Jeweler Serli & Siroan as well as a luxurious gift bag full of goodies provided by Bang & Olufsen, Korres, BCBGMAXAZRIA, MAC Cosmetics and The Sultan’s Tent.

Located at 181 Wellington Street West, this striking 53-story architectural icon opened in February 2011. The Ritz-Carlton Ballroom is exclusively located on the second level and will provide the perfect atmosphere for our celebration.
The luxury ballroom is exclusively located on the second level and will provide the perfect atmosphere for your guests. A reception will include hors d’oeuvres and drinks in the Grand Foyer, overlooking metro Hall Park, Roy Thomson Hall, Wellington and King Street West.
All guests attending the gala will receive complimentary valet parking.
