Light triumphs over darkness as we follow the Prince, Tamino, and the birdman, Papageno on their quest to rescue Pamina from the Queen of the Night. This glorious opera concludes with all of us becoming initiates into the mysteries of Sarastro’s kingdom.

Opera Atelier’s The Magic Flute remains unique, as the first and only period production in North America. Sung in English, The Magic Flute is the perfect opportunity to introduce children and adults alike to the beauty of Mozart’s best-loved opera played on period instruments.

We are thrilled to have a stellar ensemble cast of some of the finest Canadian singers join us for this production. The Magic Flute will feature Colin Ainsworth, Carla Huhtanen, Gerald Isaac, Peggy Kriha-Dye, Olivier Laquerre, Jason Nedecky, Penelope Randall-Davis, Laura Pudwell, Jennie Such, Curtis Sullivan and Vilma Vitols. The Magic Flute will be accompanied by Tafelmusik Orchestra under the baton of Opera Atelier resident Music Director David Fallis and will also feature the Artists of Atelier Ballet.
