Karine White


Praised for her stage presence, Montreal-born Soprano Karine White is passionate about the performing arts. An active and versatile artist, she enjoys both performing and teaching voice, dance and drama. Some favorite opera credits include: Adele in Die Fledermaus, Lady with a Hand Mirror in Postcard from Morocco, Josephine in HMS Pinafore and also Witch and Second Lady in Dido and Aeneas, for which she has been nominated for a Dora Mavour Moore Award . Karine had the privilege of travelling to Italy to perform Musetta in La Bohème, Despina in Così fan tutte and Susanna in Le Nozze di Figaro. In May 2017, she toured with Opera Atelier to the Royal Opera of Versailles, France with the production of Charpentier’s Medée. When not on stage or in rehearsal, she can be found teaching Movement Classes at the University of Toronto, collaborating with the Canadian Opera Company as a Teaching Artist and pursing a Masters of Teaching at the Ontario Institute for Studies in Education (OISE, University of Toronto) . Karine is a distinguished graduate of Western University with a Masters of Music in Performance and Literature and holds a Diploma in Operatic Performance from the University of Toronto. Karine is also a vocal instructor and academic advisor for the Bachelor of Arts Music program at Tyndale University.
