Opera Atelier remains committed to creating beautiful theatre — even in the face of adversity! Our 35th anniversary season had to be completely reimagined, but we understood that keeping artists working and continuing to produce beautiful shows safely was central to our mission as an arts organization. In fact, the challenges inherent in producing during the global pandemic have proven to be an exciting challenge, and a genuine catalyst for creativity. 

Opera Atelier firmly believes that live theatre functions as an important essential service which plays a vital role in the well-being of audience members like yourselves. Your ongoing support has allowed us to continue to produce meaningful, fulfilling work for our artists, while providing you with life enhancing theatre.

Frequently Asked Questions

A virtual table? What does that mean?

Our gala will be hosted through the Zoom video-conferencing platform, which means all guests will be sectioned into breakout rooms or “tables”. Similar to an in-person event, you will experience the gala with the select group of guests assigned to the same table.
For example, as a table sponsor, you and your guests will be assigned to the same table, which allows you to all experience the gala together. Included at each table is the broadcast of the gala. You will be able to see each other on video as well as the broadcast of the gala, though guests have the ability to turn off their video and/or mute their audio at any time. Your table will include you and your guests only, as other guests will be assigned to other tables.

What’s the food and wine package? What if I have dietary restrictions?

We are delighted to announce that we are partnering with Cerise Fine Catering, the catering team behind the Windsor Arms hotel, for our virtual gala. Each package arrives in an insulated keepsake gift basket and includes two servings of their Charcuterie and Cheese Box, two desserts and a bottle of wine (choice of red or white).

Please let our staff know if there are dietary restrictions, as accommodations can be easily arranged. All dietary restrictions must be communicated by April 5, 2021.

What if I (or some of my guests) are outside of the delivery range?

If you have purchased a table or ticket from Tier 1, Tier 2A or Tier 2B and are out of delivery range, you (and your guests) are eligible to receive a gift card to a food delivery service. Details must be coordinated with Opera Atelier staff by April 5, 2021.

What does your virtual gala include?

Our virtual gala will include both a silent auction and a live auction, along with gorgeous performances from some of Opera Atelier’s singers and dancers. Towards the end of the evening we will also hold a name draw for a special prize, chosen among those in attendance. The winner will be announced towards the end of the hour-long program.
